Where can I store my ski gear when staying at the Amethyst apartment building?
There is a ski room in the Amethyst building, at the lower entrance. Skis / snowboards can be kept in the ski room, ski / snowboard shoes should be kept in the hallway on the tray outside your apartment. Other gear can be kept in the apartment, or in your apartment storage room.

Where can I rent ski/snowboarding equipment?
At the Intersport Sporthaus – which is housed in the cable car station and is run by the ski school team. It also offers all kinds of sports equipment for sale. http://www.sporthaus-lauchern.ch/home.html
Where can I arrange ski/snowboarding lessons?
At Cool School; The Swiss Ski school Lotschental. The ski school is based next to the cable car building and you can reserve group/private lessons here.

Opening times: Winter Season, daily from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
The Cool School also offers child care in Snowli-Land. Little children can be supervised on request by trained staff in the afternoons (1.00 pm – 4.00 pm. In Snowli-Land. Here, the kids can play, paint or let off steam on the bouncy castle.

Parking
Where can I park in Winter when visiting Lauchernalp?
In Wiler, next to the cable cart station, are several paid parking areas where you can park longer term.
Where can I park in Summer?
In summer, you have two options. 1) You can park in Wiler and take the cable car up to Lauchernalp. 2) Once the snow has cleared, you can drive up to Lauchernalp with your luggage and either bring your car back down again, at the Amethyst building CHF25 for 3 Days or CHF35 for 7 Days.
Luggage
How do I get my luggage from my car to my chalet?
When arriving at Wiler, there is a small parking area (left of the gondola) reserved for unloading your luggage. All the luggage – together with your groceries – can be put in a container to be found underneath the cable car. At the booth there (on Fridays or Saturdays) – or at the cable cart ticket office, you can buy a one way luggage ticket for CHF 60. This includes delivery from the cable car to your chalet.

When leaving, how do I get my luggage from my chalet to the cable car and back down to my car?
Reserve a luggage pickup (preferably a day in advance) at the cable car office, which will include the cable cart ride down – Cost of one way luggage ticket: CHF 60 to be paid in cash. You can pick up your luggage again underneath the cable car, at the small parking area where you left the luggage in a crate at your arrival.

Where do I buy my groceries?
In Wiler at the cable car valley station is a small supermarket called Volg. Here you can buy your main necessities. It is also possible to order groceries and have them delivered to the cable car station of Lauchernalp. Volg, Dorfstrasse 80a Wiler Telefon: 027 525 31 14, Opening times: daily 6:00-19:00 hrs.
In Gampel (20min drive from Wiler cable car station) you can find a Coop and a Migros supermarket.
Staying at Lauchernalp
Raiffeisen Bank & ATM
In Wiler, past the cable car station on the left hand side is a Raiffeisen Bank with an ATM. Tel. +41 27 933 13 13
Waste disposal
Rubbish bags (Kericht Säcke) of 35l or 17l, subject to a fee, are available in the Volg supermarket in Wiler (ask at the cash register). There is a collection point for glass, paper, cardboard, PET and metal in the mountain station of the Wiler – Lauchernalp cable car.
Guest card - How does it work, where can I use it?
With your stay at the Lauchernalp Resort Residences a guest card for all adult guests is included, with which you can find all kinds of interesting deals in canton Wallis.

When bringing little children to Lauchernalp resort…
